As a native of Simpson County, I saw and was a beneficiary of TMM’s impact on the local community. I played in the gym as a youth; participated in the Christian Youth Leadership Development Program during my college days; and later served as an intern in TMM’s Community Law Office. I saw men like Dolphus Weary minister to people in the community addressing their spiritual and physical needs.
As God led me to understand His calling on my life, I knew I had to prepare myself for His work. I attended Dallas Theological Seminary where I received a Master Degree in Pastoral Theology, and then Bethel Theological Seminary where I received a Doctor of Ministry in Marriage and Family Studies. I have been involved in pastoral ministry for over 30 years.
I am influenced by my father, Joe Holloway, a local Baptist Ministry; Rob Boyd; John Perkins; and my mentor from years ago and now, Dolphus Weary. I am also shaped by E.K. Bailey, Howard Hendricks and Tony Evans. These brothers helped me flesh out God’s principles for ministry that I have used as a pastor and now at TMM.
We are in a rebuilding phase. The biblical foundation of TMM is strong. However, in order to be strategically engaged in God’s movement in the future, we must accomplish some things in the present. Moving forward we desire to learn from our past, to be more responsive, and to move responsibly. I invite you to walk with us on this rebuilding journey.
