With volunteer assistance, TMM helps low-wealth families repair and refurbish their homes. Ten to fifteen families are assisted annually. The Housing and Volunteer ministries also play pivotal roles in helping families recover from weather-related disasters.
TMM is in the planning stage of developing a home-ownership program that will promote and assist medium and low-wealth families toward home ownership.
In collaboration with HUD, TMM constructed a much needed elderly housing facility in 2001. Harper Village Apartments, named after Harper High School, the old high school in the community, is a clean, warm, secure, and quiet 31-unit senior independent living environment, that serves low-income elderly residents.
Volunteers provide most of the labor in the construction & repair of homes.
